  • It’s important to note that a club is not liable for personal injury from accidents for volunteers and members participating in its activities. However, the club could be fined under the Health and Safety Act if it is at fault for not providing a safe working environment.
  • Your club must follow the rules for employers set out in the Act and pay the appropriate ACC levies.
