Organising and optimising the running or your club

Practical, realistic and well-organised day-to-day operations keep your club running smoothly and efficiently.

This section covers key areas to help you stay organised and deliver great experiences for your members.

Protect your assets

Quality facilities are key to operational sustainability. Your club’s physical environment and resources – the clubhouse, changing areas, playing surfaces and equipment – directly shapes members’ feelings of satisfaction, enjoyment and sense of belonging. If you can, offering entertainment and food and drink spaces will contribute to how the club culture and image are presented to the wider community.

You will need to have:

  • An assets register 
  • A maintenance or renewal schedule, and log 
  • Dedicated funding 
  • Insurance 
  • Security 
  • Signage 
  • A plan for the future.
